National Association of Home Builders  NAHB is a Washington, D.C.-based trade association whose mission isto enhance the climate for housing and the building industry. As “the voice of America’s housing industry,” NAHB helps promote policies that will keep housing a national priority. NAHB’s builder members construct about 80 percent of the new homes constructed each year in the United States. 

Professional Builder  Professional Builder is the magazine for professionals within the residential building industry. Articles cover industry news, company profiles, market reports, construction technology and merchandising information needed to successfully complete each job.

Urban Land Institute (ULI)    Founded in 1936, the institute now has more than 40,000 members worldwide representing the entire spectrum of land use and real estate development disciplines, working in private enterprise and public service.

The American Institute of Architects (AIA)   The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is the voice of the architecture profession with more than 83,500 members.  Based in Washington, D.C., the AIA has been the leading professional membership association for licensed architects, emerging professionals, and allied partners since 1857.

Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU)  Leading organization promoting walkable, neighborhood-based development as an alternative to sprawl. Members are are the planners, developers, architects, engineers, public officials, investors, and community activists.

U.S. Green Building Council  The U.S. Green Building Council is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community of leaders working to make green buildings accessible to everyone within a generation.

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)  The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™ encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices.

American Planning Association  The APA is a nonprofit research organization representing 39,000 practicing planners, officials, and citizens involved with urban and rural planning issues. The organization has 46 regional chapters and 19 divisions devoted to specialized planning interests. The American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) is APA's professional institute, certifying planners who have met specific educational and work criteria and passed the certification exam.

Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission Policy / Smart Growth  Created in 1965, the DVRPC is an interstate, intercounty and intercity agency that provides continuing, comprehensive and coordinated planning to shape a vision for the future growth of the Delaware Valley region. Working across state, county, and city lines, DVRPC advises on regional policy and capital funding issues such as transportation, economic development, the environment, and land use.

Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission  The PHMC is the official history agency of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Created in 1945, we are responsible for the collection, conservation, and interpretation of Pennsylvania's historic heritage

PA Department of Environmental Protection  The DEP is the state agency largely responsible for administering Pennsylvania's environmental laws and regulations. DEP is committed to general environmental education and encouraging effective public involvement in setting environmental policy.

Montgomery County Planning Commission  These professional planners develop county plans, model ordinances, and other informational publications as well as provide technical assistance and services to 62 municipalities.  Since their inception in 1950, the Commission's major focus has been to promote orderly development while preserving valuable county amenities.
